The essentials
- Their usual food if they’re on a special diet — a sudden change of food can upset tummies. (At Puppy Planet, regular meals are included.)
- Any medicines, with clear written instructions and doses.
- Up-to-date vaccination records.
- Their leash, collar or harness, with an ID tag.
- Something that smells like home: a small blanket, a T-shirt you’ve worn, or a favourite toy.
Information to share
- Your phone number and an emergency contact.
- Your vet’s name and number.
- Their routine: meal times, walk times, bedtime and any habits.
- Anything they’re scared of — thunder, other dogs, loud noises — and what calms them down.
Make the goodbye easy
Keep the drop-off short and cheerful — long, emotional goodbyes can make pets more anxious. A good walk before drop-off helps them settle, and for a first stay, a day at the crèche beforehand lets them get to know the place.
A note from us: these are general tips. Every pet is different — for anything health-related, your vet knows best.
